Why it matters strategically

TransMedics is developing a business model that combines medical devices, organ preservation, logistics, and transplant services.

The strategic question extends beyond the performance of its Organ Care System.

Ownership or control of logistics infrastructure may influence hospital adoption, transplant capacity, operating costs, and barriers to competition.
